“Friends, I’m a traditionalist—I stand with Christian revelation and the entirety of the Church’s teaching, from the Council of Jerusalem through Nicaea, Chalcedon, and Trent. Since the Church’s tradition includes the Second Vatican Council, it’s therefore impossible to repudiate Vatican II and claim to be a faithful traditionalist. There’s nothing traditional about rejecting an ecumenical council.” -Bishop Barron
If you have not watched Bishop Barron’s recent videos on Vatican II I encourage you to do so. They will bring great confidence to your heart.

Ave Maria
He’s not so traditional as hell goes (hopeful universalism is a theological mess), but at least he accepts Vatican II.

I have heard that Bishop Barron has some questionable views on hell, and perhaps could be a little more strict on telling people if they will make it to heaven, but I have not really looked into this very much to comment. You are right, he does accept V2 so that places him high enough in my books.

What he basically said is that although we must accept hell as a possibility, “we can reasonably hope that all are saved.”
